Former Vice President Joe Biden has selected Sen.Kamala Harris as his running mate for the 2020 presidential election after scouring a list or nationslly prominent women politicians. The California Democrat was a sure pick for her experience as an elected official and prosecutorial prowess.  And one more thing-- she is Black.  

Black women demanded that Biden choose one of their own as a reward for their years of loyalty. He said all al9ng he wanted a woman by his side and by the look of his short list she would likely be African American.  The history making decision would make Harris the first woman amd woman of color in the White House should they defeat Trump-Pence.
