Gospel music singer/producer Troy Sneed passed away from complications with COVID-19 at the age of 52. The founder of Emtro Gospel died in a Jacksonville, FL hospital. He traded his dream of playing in the NFL for music after an injury at Florida A&M where he met his wife and budiness partner Emily. Together they formed Emtro, a combination of their names. Savoy records gave Sneed his start as a music in 1999. As a solo artist, Sneed was known for such radio hits as MY HEART SAYS YES and KEPT BY HIS GRACE. He was recognized as a leading producer in the gospel industry over a 30 year career. In addition to his dolo work, in 1996 Sneed appeared in the Preacher's Wife with the Georgia Mass Choir and was the arranger for the choir's albums. In 1999, he earned a Grammy nomination fot Best Gospel Choir album by Youth for Christ.
