The airplane was disabled, the passengers disembarked onto the runway via mobile stairs, the airport was closed. Incident: Jet Airways A332 near Ankara on Mar 7th 2011, engine shut down in flight By Simon Hradecky, created Wednesday, Mar 9th 2011 08:53Z, last updated Wednesday, Mar 9th 2011 08:53Z A Jet Airways Airbus A330-200, registration VT-JWK performing flight 9W-226 from Chennai (India) to Brussels (Belgium) with 218 passengers, was enroute at FL360 over the Black Sea when the crew needed to shut an engine down and decided to divert to Ankara (Turkey) for a safe landing. Following checks and repairs the airplane was able to continue the flight and reached Brussels with a delay of 7 hours.
